Poland

polandPoland is a Central European, ex-communist country. It is a member of the European Union (EU) with a population of about 3.8 million. Poland’s capital is Warsaw. The country has several large lakes, the Baltic Sea coast in the north-west, and mountains in the southern region.  Administratively, Poland comprises 16 voivodeships (equivalent of provinces), which are divided into powiats (equivalent of counties). The powiats are sub-divided into gminas (also called as municipalities or communes). Poland enjoys a liberalized, fast growing and sound economy, and as such, is considered as a regional economic power.

Hello
Earlier a bought polish apples. I liked especially Ida Red apples. But now, when Poland is going back to one-party dictatorship, i stopped to by anything coming from Poland. Also chicken meat products. Earlier I traveled in Poland too.I was in Warsaw and Krakow. But now I am sad, because I cannot travel there anymore. I feel it is wrong to come in Poland again. That, because I think, it is big possibility that my money is going to corruption and backing the dictatatorship of one party. When there is no free press and independent justce, possibility of corruption is too big for me. I know many others here, who think the same. I am very sorry, because Poland is turning his back to democratic Europe.
Best greetings Seppo, Finland
