GFRAS Contributes to the Launch of the AgriPath Digital Agricultural Advisory Services Toolkit

The Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS) is pleased to announce the launch of the AgriPath Digital Agricultural Advisory Services (DAS) Toolkit, a comprehensive online resource designed to support the development, implementation and scaling of effective, inclusive and sustainable digital agricultural advisory services.

Developed through the AgriPath project in collaboration with the Grameen Foundation and project partners, the toolkit translates research findings and practical experience into actionable guidance for governments, extension and advisory service providers, development organisations, researchers, technology developers and private sector actors working to strengthen digital agricultural advisory services.

Designed as an intuitive online platform, the AgriPath DAS Toolkit enables users to easily navigate through the different dimensions of digital agricultural advisory services according to their specific needs. Rather than serving as a repository of standalone publications, the platform brings together an interconnected suite of practical tools, frameworks, checklists, implementation guidance, decision-making resources and case studies. Whether users are designing a new digital advisory programme, strengthening an existing service or exploring evidence-based approaches to digital extension, the toolkit provides practical resources that can be readily applied across different contexts.

The toolkit covers a broad range of topics, including digital service design, selecting appropriate delivery channels, gender-responsive approaches, strengthening extension agent networks, behavioural science for improved adoption, financial sustainability, scaling digital advisory services, and monitoring and learning. Together, these resources offer practical guidance to support organisations throughout the lifecycle of Digital Agricultural Advisory Services (DAS).

As a consortium partner, GFRAS collaborated closely in the development of the toolkit and led the development of the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in Digital Agricultural Advisory Services tool. This resource provides practical guidance on establishing and strengthening partnerships between public institutions, private sector actors, civil society organisations and development partners, recognising that effective collaboration is essential to expanding the reach, sustainability and impact of digital advisory services.

To maximise accessibility and uptake, the AgriPath DAS Toolkit is available in English, French and Spanish, enabling practitioners around the world to access the resources in their preferred language.

The launch of the toolkit represents an important milestone in advancing evidence-based digital agricultural advisory services that place farmers' needs at the centre of innovation. By bringing together practical guidance, proven approaches and lessons learned from across the AgriPath project, the toolkit equips practitioners with the resources needed to strengthen digital advisory systems and improve outcomes for farming communities.

GFRAS is proud to have contributed to this collaborative effort and invites its members, partners and the wider rural advisory community to explore the toolkit and make use of its resources in their own programmes and initiatives.
