Full publication: Global Capacity Needs Assessment (GCNA) methodology - Integrating nutrition objectives into agricultural extension and advisory services programmes and policies

FAO and GFRAS - through AESA - have engaged in a study focused on the development of a global capacity needs assessment (GCNA) methodology. The main goal of this study was to discuss how to integrate nutrition objectives into agricultural extension and advisory services programmes and policies.

This methodology aims to support countries to:
- Explore opportunities and challenges to integrating nutrition-related objectives into agricultural programmes and policies;
- Identify capacity needs of the EAS providers and at the organizational and policy/enabling environment levels for strengthening capacities to integrate nutrition outcomes in their regular tasks and responsibilities; and
- Identify knowledge gaps in training materials on nutrition-sensitive agriculture.
