Dr. Mohammad Aslam Ansari is currently a Professor in the Department of Agriculture Communication, College of Agriculture at the G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar-263145, Uttarakhand (India)
He received his Ph. D. degree in Extension Education from IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly (U.P., India) in 1991 and earned his postdoctoral from Centre for Mass Communication Research, University of Leicester (U.K.) in 1992-93.
He has worked as a faculty member at Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (India); Allahabad Agriculture Institute Deemed University, Allahabad (India) and now currently Professor at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar-263145, Uttarakhand (India). He is having 25 Years of Experience in the field of teaching, research and extension in Agriculture Communication & Extension. His Area of Expertise includes: Science Communications, Development Communication, Health Communication, ICT applications in Agriculture and Rural Development, Agriculture Extension and Communication, Development Communication, Private Extension Systems, etc. He is the author of two book, five book chapters, and more than 50 research papers/articles in refereed and reputed journals besides 20 popular articles in farm magazines; guided 20 Masters and 5 Ph. D. students. He is the recipient of Commonwealth Fellowship, Senior and Junior Research Fellowships from ICAR/ UNDP; a number of research and training Grants, Bioved Fellow awards (2007), etc.
