I am an independent consultant with more than twenty years experience working with major institutions and decision-makers at national and international levels. Key focus areas in my work are the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas, urban-rural relations, the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change, the transition towards resource-efficient low carbon economies and the related innovation processes.
Supporting the synergies between environmental, economic and social goals in business strategies and policy development has always been fundamental in my work. Creating win-win solutions helps build alliances and facilitates change that would otherwise be hard to achieve.
I find effective research-policy-practice linkages very important. Scientific concepts, and theory, need to be translated into practical solutions.
Effective communication, networking, integration and further development of ideas and practice are essential.
I enjoy constructive dialogue, connecting different agendas, crossing disciplinary boundaries and cross-cutting analysis. I am good in strategy development, the building of strong teams, networking and the management of complex projects and processes.
