Spotlight on Education and Training in Extension and Advisory Services

The goal of the side event was to develop a framework for moving the consortium forward to achieve the intended function. Specific objectives of side event include:

  • share information on extension training curriculums from various aspects of the world;
  • share a synthesis of needed competencies for new extensionist based on discussions amongst consortium members;
  • present ideas for a guide or checklist for how to identify capacity gaps (RELASER plans to present);
  • identify research issues for extension education.
