We are pleased to invite you as a participant to the “Regional Forum on Strengthening Rural Advisory Services in Asia and the Pacific Islands” to be held on 14 and 15 September 2011 at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Campus in Laguna Province, Philippines. This regional forum is jointly sponsored by SEARCA, the UPLB, and the Global Forum on Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS).

Objectives

To determine the most appropriate structure of APIRAS that represents the interests of Asia-Pacific Islands countries in the global rAS network
To discuss and analyze priority issues in rural advisory services in various countries in Asia-Pacific Island Region.
To draw a strategic action plan towards strengthening RAS in Asia-Pacific Islands Region.

Note that the registration deadline is 12 August.
