If you can't find an expert that fits to your task you may want to post the terms of reference on the message board. Note that you need to register to get writing permissions for the message board.
- Background
There has been much demand for knowledge and contacts of individual experts and organisations working in extension and advisory services. This was expressed at the 2nd GFRAS annual meeting in Nairobi 2011 quite strongly, as well as from various partners during email exchanges and face to face meetings since GFRAS' inception. The GFRAS regional networks in Africa and Asia also have expressed demand for such information.GFRAS answers this demand by building a self-updating roster of experts. This set of data will be housed in a searchable database and connected to a group on "Linked In." In the database experts can upload information such as their name, contact information, areas of expertise, CVs, etc. Each person can determine how much of the information is shared publicly. People or organisations looking for experts can use the database and search by topic, region, language skills, and so forth.
